Furcamyia gladiatura Whittington 2003

A striking fly with a combination of yellow and dark brown colouration. Flies of this genus often hold the abdomen upright at a slanting angle.
Ground colour yellow. Thorax dark brown above. Abdomen yellow with a dark mark on tergites 3,4, and 5. Legs yellow, apex of mid and hind femora dark brown. Wing pattern hyaline and dark brown.
