Sabrina Wu: Natural Area Observations Week 5

For this week's natural area observation, I decided to go back to Poly Canyon trail and walked further down the trail towards the entrance of Architectural Graveyard. As this was my second time going back, I noticed many of the same flora and fauna as my first time. There were lots of woody trees and shrubs, grasses, and flowers. I noticed there seem to be more plants that liked damp areas as I walked further down the trail. This made sense since it was getting closer to the nearby creek. Some of the plants I saw were more Sticky Monkey flowers, Poison Oak, and many ferns. Below are the 5 plants I decided to observe from my walk.
