On this cool day in June, Lauren and I walked through LaPlatte Marshes, stopping often to view her beloved sedges. I also took some pictures as part of my continuing iNaturalist practice.
Along the way, we also saw a Pileated Woodpecker, a Scarlet Tanager, a Red-bellied Woodpecker, several American Redstarts, and many more birds.
Not completely sure about ID, but from picture and from memory, flowers were a bit larger than 2cm across, which I think is too big for lesser stitchwort.
Not completely sure of ID...in riparian zone, right next to McCabe Creek in LaPlatte Marshes
Not sure about ID! Plant was quite close to McCabe's Creek in the LaPlatte Marshes.
Small tree / shrub in riparian zone next to McCabe's creek in LaPlatte Marshes. Could it be a young elm?
Identotron identified this as a ring-billed gull :)
