It’s unfortunate that this is present in such a pristine forest. I see it quite often along spring runs. So easy for it to spread. It seems to love lime stone out crops.
I was recently at one of the parks that provided buckets and pick up devices for trash, what a great idea. Something similar could possibly be done to assist people on invasive plants.

About 2 dozen of these odd baby sea monster segments washed up on Pillar point harbor beach. Most were 1’-2’ long, but 1 was about a yard long! So odd! All the years I’ve been going to this beach and nearby beaches, I’ve never seen anything like. Other beach goers said the same. These creatures got it all! Long Segmented bodies, tentacles, and so much more. Most of these were dead and being enthusiastically eaten by little sand flea things? One seemed alive so I threw it back in the water.
