2021 Christmas Bird Counts (2 of 4 Pawnee NG)

Hi all

NO WIND for both counts-a bonus! Colder Saturday (Crow Valley), gorgeous and warmer Sunday (Nunn).

2021 Christmas Bird Count #3 Stoneham, CO

Hi all

We did the Pawnee-East (Stoneham) count on Xmas eve day. Weather was okay, winds probably 10-15+ at times.

Species counted:
Common Raven
Rough-legged Hawk
Lapland Longspur - 54 (good spot is CR 102 west of Hwy 71. There are alternating tilled dirt field and shorter grass field lanes. Horned Lark and Lapland Longspur were coming to road together frequently. CR 102 bends north where I had them on both sides of road.)

Woods Lake continues to host massive Canada/Cackling and Snow (tons) Goose. Along with six mindfully watching Bald Eagle.
