Rebecca Monroe- Week 7 Natural Area Observations

This week I explored a creek behind the elementary school near my house. The dirt in this area was surprisingly very dry, but the trees and shrubbery around the creek were mostly green. I made my observations on the outskirts of the natural area, farthest away from the creek. The land was mostly flat at the top, but sloped down towards the creek. I may not have gotten close enough to the creek because I did not see a lot of insects or animals where I made my observations. The area in general was very beautiful and a nice place to relax as it was mostly shaded from all of the trees.
