Organ sizes in a small foetus of Connochaetes albojubatus

On 30 Sept. 1989 at Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, I dissected a small foetus of Connochaetes albojubatus (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?taxon_id=525438).

I weighed the organs to the nearest 0.001 g.

The following data are potentially useful in studies of ontogenetic allometry.

Whole body, minus umbilicus 5.45 g
Head 1.504 g
Brain at least 0.136 g, but no more than 0.148 g
Eyeball left 0.021 g, right 0.023 g
Tongue 0.018 g
Feet (all four, collectively) 0.057 g
Liver 0.604 g
Heart 0.09 g
Lungs and trachea (collectively; possibly dehydrated by pickling process) 0.05 g
Rumenoreticulum 0.009 g
Omasum 0.001 g
Abomasum 0.001 g
Total intestines 0.021 g
Kidney (excluding fat) left 0.0065 g, right 0.0055 g
? Spleen (unidentified lobes near kidneys) 0.018 g
