Sanazarius biseriatus Drake 1953

Genus Sanazarius: Body subovate, pubescent; head short, clypeus not surpassing apical half of first antennal segment; length of antennae subequal or shorter than that of pronotum; cephalic spines present; bucculae open anteriorly; pronotum tricarinate, height of median carina equal to or slightly shorter than that of lateral carinae; pronotal hood slightly bulbous, extending beyond the apex of head in dorsal view; paranotum expanded, produced near the middle, oriented subvertically; hemelytra with claval area weakly developed, almost entirely covered by posterior margin of pronotum; costal area narrow, with one or two rows of areolae; discoidal area level, extending beyond the middle of hemelytra; hypocostal laminae extending to the apex of abdomen

Diagnosis: Costal area of hemelytra with two rows of areolae ('biseriatus'). Paranota with rounded outer margins.

Distribution: Cape, South Africa.
