Brianne Dimalanta's Natural Area Observations Week 5

This weekend I went to visit Elfin Forest in Los Osos. It was pretty foggy and kind of misty, which is nothing unusual for an area close to the coast. Looking into the distance towards the ocean, I mostly saw a lot of chaparral and coastal scrub, with a lot of repetitive plants. There were a lot of salvias, Manzanitas, Deerweed, and Sagebrush. I did notice that the plants started to change when you entered shady areas. In the shady areas, I saw a lot of poison oak and ferns, which I did not see in any of the sunny areas.
