Week 4 Keying - Kevin Tran

I was looking at cultivated trees outside my natural area, and thought to try and key those.

Tree 1: ID: 1', 2', 3', 5',8 (leaves attached oppositely) Group 7
Group 7: 1', 2', 5', 7', 9', 10', 12', 13, 14' (leaves shaped like spearheads, or oval shaped, with pointed tip)
ID: Olive, Olea europaea Pg. 90

It took me a couple tries to identify the species because couplet 13 was referring to whether or not the leaf undersides were white and woolly. I didn't really know what white would look like on a leaf, so on the first try I categorized the leaf underside as light green.

Tree 2: 1', 2', 3', 5, 6', 7' (Leaves attached alternately) Group 6
Group 6: 1', 3', 11, 12', 13 (leaflets less than 1/2 in. wide
ID: Peruvian Pepper Tree, Schinus molle Pg. 108

The key to identifying this species lay in the fact that it had a pinnately compound leaf.
