Whitney Tallman tree observation

  1. The tree I would use as toilet paper would be the trembling aspen because it is the only tree I have observed with flat, soft leaves. The others have needle leaves or small and uncomfortable leaves.

  2. The street trees I believe are pleasant because it shows diversity among my neighborhood. They give the environment a variety of colors and give newcomers to the neighborhood a feel that Utah is not just a desert but that it is a place where many plants can grow.

  3. A pro of planting non-native trees is that they give a once colorless neighborhood a new life. In some cases it can bring new animals. Cons of planting non-native trees are that they can disrupt a neighborhood and cause native plants to die. Non-native trees can also cause harm to the environment by sucking up ground water and making the landscape dry.
