North/Jones side - 12/28/2019

Coverage: North half of Alma Bridge Road, from the parking lot to the second stop sign @ one way road section.
Time: 10:21am - 11:50am
Rainfall: 0 inches, dry for the past few days; clear cool day
Vehicles: 33
Bikes: 5
Pedestrians: 8, one asked what I was doing
Live Newts: 0
Dead Newts: 125
Other critters: None

Most of the dead newts were pretty dry. According to the calendar, this section hadn't been surveyed since the previous Sunday (we're all busy with the holidays.)

iNat is currently refusing to batch process my photos, so it might take a while before they're properly posted. Also, just as I said that the geotagging has worked ok, today there were a lot of misplacements, very frustrating and time-consuming to relocate. I would like to be able to see a map of observations that includes the times, not just dates, so it's easier to see where things fit in the timeline and move them accordingly. As it is, there's an awful lot of clicking involved in multiple windows for each one.

@newtpatrol, have you told iNat tech support about this GPS problem? I wonder if they could offer some tips/tricks that would help.

@truthseqr, no I haven't, I'm perhaps too conservative about what I bug support with. It does seem like a good idea for this, since it looks like it will continue to be a problem for this project. I wonder why I have a lot more trouble with locations at Lexington than elsewhere. Thanks for the nudge.
