Kayaking and hiking B.C. for many years has grown my interest in the ethnobiology of the area. Volunteering for Greenways Land Trust at the restoration area of Willow Creek in Campbell River has honed that interest. Restoring a complex area with a 1950s gas station and a creekside midden creek is a challenge. Im immersed in books and youtube for propagarion methods and love live staking starting with willows and dogwoods. Obvious evidence and a active remains search nearby has increased my interest including a obvius midden and a food forest of crabapples. I see I naturalist has a tool to help me organise the diversity.
