These observations are my way of documenting the biodiversity of Walkerville and surrounds. So most of my observations on iNaturalist will be a fairly small radius around Walkerville but will include places like the islands around the Prom and local reserves in South Gippsland.
Ill attempt to cover all taxa in marine, riparian, estuarine and terrestrial habitats. I hope to get our little one involved in appreciating and understanding our local patch, she is a keen observer of natural world and I’ll encourage that via this forum.
In my day to day life I work as an ecologist for a small consultancy with a focus on geomorphic, hydrologic and ecological processes on waterways. I recently completed my Masters in Ecosystems Science investigating the response of invasive species to variable water regimes and competition in Wetland Forests.
