I am a project manager, ecologist, and "GIS guy" for Mountain Studies Institute. I am based in Silverton and Durango, Colorado, and venture across the San Juan Mountains and southwest Colorado for work and fun. My current focal areas are: forest health and restoration in warm-dry mixed conifer; alpine wetland restoration; alpine vegetation assessment; and water quality issues of the Animas River watershed. When not out in the San Juan, I am running, fast-packing, climbing, and botnaising throughout the Southwestern US.

My botany goal, for the summer of 2018, is to become proficient in the identification of Carex.
