I love spending time outdoors, and I have managed to make it my job - living and working on our property after 40 years living and working in Canberra and Sydney.

We are fortunate that a significant percentage of our 100 acres consists of EPBC-protected Brogo Vine Forest, an endangered ecological community (see http://www.environment.gov.au/cgi-bin/sprat/public/publicshowcommunity.pl?id=55&status=Endangered and https://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/threatenedspeciesapp/profile.aspx?id=10110). I am focused on recording plant, bird, invertebrate, and vertebrate species on our property to learn what I live with and how to protect it further. I maintain an interest in the ecology of the ACT high country in Namadgi National Park and Brindabellas and the Kosciusko National Park where I have spent many days.
