North Central Catchment Management Authority connects communities with the health of their local waterways through our Citizen Science, Waterwatch and RiverDetectives programs.

Most waterways across the North Central region have been monitored for water quality over the past two decades.
Thousands of volunteers have been supported to act as citizen scientists to collect important ecological information and have helped us to create a snapshot of the ecological condition of waterways across north central Victoria.

Understanding and reporting on the condition of our waterways is important for guiding waterway management decisions and demonstrating management outcomes.
