My specialty is the identification, taxonomy, distribution and natural history of Hawaii’s invasive ants. I am part of a project on the Island of Maui that is engaged in the eradication of a particular species of highly invasive ant: Wasmannia auropunctata, the Little Fire Ant (LFA, aka Electric Ant).
