I've had a life-long interest in the natural world with particular focus on birds. A good part of 15 years has been spent documenting birds on my travels. I completed my honours, then PhD at Deakin University, Victoria on the Powerful Owl (Ninox strenua), investigating urban spatial and behavioural ecology through the use of GPS transmitters. I now work in threatened bird conservation.
