I'm a member of the local Landcare Group and active in advocating for the protection of natural environment and its flora and fauna. I have lived on 5 acres in the country on the edge of a city, beside a flora and fauna sanctuary, and a river, and we have developed, managed and protected reserves in the area in the face of creeping urbanisation. I have been photographing and observing birds, animals, plants and insects in this area for 40 years.
