I grew up in the Australian bush on the Eyre Peninsular, South Australia and have been enamoured with wildlife and flora my whole life.

After studying botany, biochemistry, soil science and genetics at the University of Adelaide I have travelled and worked throughout much of Australia on projects including finch ecology, small mammal conservation genetics, salt marsh and mangrove biology and ecology, aquatic invertebrate ecology, urban bushland restoration and wetland conservation.

Now I run the website of Bush Heritage Australia and do community education about nature and conservation through street theatre.
