I am a retired Australian Public Servant with a lifelong interest in the the environment and nature. Since 1998, I have been leading work at Kenmore State High School in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia to re-vegetate the campus environment, concentrating on the banks of Moggill Creek and McKay Brook. The former encompasses the School property on three sides, providing over a 1 km frontage of the School to the Creek. My environmental knowledge has been gained through this experience and the opportunity to attend workshops and seminars, many sponsored by the Brisbane City Council. I have no formal qualifications in environmental disciplines.
