I've been watching birds since I was a child, did some study in intertidal ecology and small mammals on farmland, have grown native plants from seed, had a long involvement in landcare, been a flora and fauna consultant, and now work in private land conservation. I lead Friends of Trevallyn Reserve in controlling weeds and we sometimes do small fauna surveys. I've got a pretty good knowledge of Tasmanian plant botany, but definitely need to keep working on it, and I've recently started attempting fungi ID. So much nature to get to know, and not enough time!
