Baccharis plant, native to coastal sage scrub areas and it was right off the trail. Has nice long thin stems and fluffy looking flowers for seed dispersal.

Found on the lower ride zone, stuck on a rock

A common chaparral plant berries when put in water might taste sweet like lemonade

Cactus looks like fingers near the entrance of the trail away from the ocean

Low lying, scrubby bush found above the beach sand and away form the coast in the upper marsh region.

Found in a sandy dry area of higher elevation, near the entrance gate.

Seen along the entrance to the marsh and in areas away from the coast and in drier regions.

An invasive species spotted along the fence surrounding the Kendall marsh!
