Project 2

I went to Lake Chabot. This is a Riparian Community. The biotic California bay laurels, alders, and willow trees predominate in the riparian zone surrounding Lake Chabot, which is a verdant area. The landscape is dotted with colorful bursts of color from wildflowers like California poppies and lupines. The riparian zone's rich, moist soil is abiotic, allowing a variety of plant species to flourish. It is mostly made up of silt and organic materials that the lake has deposited over time. The actions are Bird behavior observations show that foraging occurs frequently around the water's edge. Herons and ducks can be spotted wading in shallow areas or amid the foliage, looking for food.
