This bird was present for quite a while at the no mow zone between the stadium and tennise courts. It was seen by many and excellently documented for eBird records. It was last seen in January 2021. I am adding it now because it is an important species to note for the area of the state and for the woodlot/no mow zones on campus.
Barn Owl banding. The Pennsylvania Game Commission, along with the Kauffman family hosted a public Barn Owl banding of five young Barn Owls at the family farm.
Adult bird found deceased - may have died of malnutrition as keel was prominent with little muscle mass. Same bird likely reported on 20 Dec 2020 Christmas Bird Count.
