First one I’ve found this season :)
Same species as last year, fruiting in the same mulch bed. Growing prolifically
Gills were oddly attatched to base of cap.
At bottom of large pile of sticks and leafy/woody debris near edge of woods.

Noticed alongside the salmon pass trail fruiting abundantly in the moist moss. 5 fruiting bodies in the area that I could notice, all not too far from each other. Probably a foot apart or half foot apart from each other. A few were out in the open next to the trail not under the sorrel and salal. Alder, fir, and redwood growing mostly in the area. Lots of disturbance with mild human activity in the area. (The trail is adjacent to an old log landing). Very humid and moist environment.
