restodrood's Identifications

Tried to get different angles on this one but it was a little far out and hard to see regardless. Thought cormorant but didn't know they could have the white. There were several hanging out around these posts.

the hawk let the grackle go but it crawled away and died shortly after under the cover of some bushes
you can see in the 6th picture the grackle is biting on the hawks foot and from what i saw in my pictures it was doing this the entire time
i’m unsure why the hawk let it go but i also watched the hawk chase a flock of what i believe are also grackles around the same spot a minute or so later
