Note the thorns along the stem. Found on boundary between a garden and reserve.
Very common along roadsides
Please help identify this vine, invasive. Thanks
Self-sown. I thought it might've been a calendula at first but it's grown quite large over winter with no sign of flowers. inaturalist's AI seems to be at a loss too.
This cute little number looks like it could be a relative of mudwort, but the flowers are too white, and the 'leaves' look like little paddles. The 'leaves' are ca. 10mm long. Quite widespread in this dune wetland area, not in the others in this location.
Strong green canes to 2.5 metres.
Inflorescence a large, open panicle.
Best flavour.
Rubus?
