Two plants on a cut along the trail
Planted form of non local provenance. This is becoming naturalised around the foreshore of the township.
Leaves are spongey and planoconvex. Plant was growing on the edge of water of a billabong.
Prolific groundcover.
Eucalyptus leaf has become thicker and brittle. Fungal pattern.
Several patches (4+) of droppings next to scratch marks. Faeces have a square appearance, are grassy inside and sometimes dropped on fallen logs. One burrow was noted.
Appears to have 3 stamens? Long involucral bract, ,hard stems, pith - irregularly interrupted with small lacunae
Went back on Jan 28 and took additional photos of the same plant. Definitely interrupted pith. Shining base of stems
Changing ID to astreptus!
