Black Basses
The common name for this organism is a Black Bass and its scientific name is Genus Micropterus Salmoides. The Black Bass is considered a deuterostome. It belongs to the group, or family of Centrarchidae, they are also considered sunfishes (Steed E. 2018). The habitat in which this Black Bass was found is a pond in Riverview, FL. They consistently grow with a beautiful green gradient pattern that almost resembles a watermelon pattern, with a length of 8 inches. Some characteristics of Black Basses is that they are generally olive green and have the spiny and soft-rayed portions of the dorsal fin joined as a single fin. (Black bass)
