Quite a few of these bees flying around our verandah. Obviously looking for nest sites. This hole is in a piece of Cypress pine.
Observed quite a few of them - mostly on or near Box Mistletoe, which is abundant in the area and flowering.
About 4-5 mm
Sighting and photos (c) wombat5.
Field Notes - There is a little bit of this in our school nature reserve. We think it is blackberry. It has spikey canes and the leaves have little prickles too. We took the photo for the weed challenge. Blackberry is a problem on farms and in the bush around here.
Loving the tomato flowers!
Noticed on the driveway when I got home on Friday afternoon. (Rural property)
It's very fast movement made it stand out.
