Field Notes - Forest Red Gum. The dominant tall eucalypt species on alluvial flats adjacent to Bkackwood's Creek west if Grafton. This tall, smooth-barked tree is favoured by koalas as a food source and, like other red gums has long conical bud caps that are shed to reveal the white stamens of its flowers.
