Spores yellow brown; growing under ribbon wood (Adenostoma sparsifolium)
Located in sandy pine barren;
Fruiting body spherical, white/off white/tan, smooth to granulose, pinched at base;
Rhizomorphs thin, short.

Common among Syntrichia ruralis moss in sand dunes.
Diabas sqaurry.. 1-4 cm
Alvar heath vegetation, bare soil.
