This and the next image are the same animal. Previously thought to be Agile Antechinus from 2 other decomposed carcasses but now confirmed as Swamp Antechinus with this last specimen
Small rat like animal
Long snout, relatively small eyes and ears, and shorter tail in comparison to A. agilis. Trapped in eastern remnant of Sedgy Riparian Woodland (EVC 198) using an Elliot style aluminium folding trap with rolled oats, golden syrup, peanut butter & vanilla essence bait. Trapping success rate was 1 capture per 2 trap-nights. Wt: 65 gm
