Description

Found huddled together in 37F degrees under a hardwood log right along the lake in the park. This species is tolerant of colder conditions. Colors intensity varies, one specimen in the 2nd and 4th photos has bright yellow spots along its back. Really pretty! These are in a tin with cocofiber and cork bark for photos.

Place

Chicago (Google, OSM)

Description

-Captive Bred Swift Woodlouse
-Dairy Cow Morph
-Anecdotal observations among keepers suggest Dairy Cows can no longer interbreed with other P. laevis morphs (such as Orange, Wild Type, etc.); they are still considered P. laevis, but there is speculation they may now be a distinct species or subspecies.
