Saw many mudskippers in the mud flats at low tide. Large pectoral fins which are round in shape. Camouflage incredibly well into their surroundings! True to their name they skip across both the mud and water.
Just an exquisite little polka dot moth found on a wood sign in a pine forest. 2.5 cm approx tip to tail, with fuzzy thorax and feet.
Found In kurokawa onsen town, just had a hard time finding it on the map.
We were in a tea shop in Kitsuki, Japan when I heard a “THONK” from inside one of the display cabinets. This little beetle had fallen from the top shelf and couldn’t put himself right side up. Beautiful green color on elytra and bronze metallic underside. Small hairs covered body
The house centipede is back! This time hiding on my curtains. Approx 4cm tip to tail.
