Fruitbody: Coral-like mushroom, light brown that forks vertically. Grows on ground and it’s fragile, it will break easily in hand.
Look Alike:
Observation: Growth is individual with multiples in the the same area. They grow from the detritus ground, usually underneath a few plants but close to an open area. Fairly easy to find.
Culinary Notes: Upright Coral is insubstantial and it is generally considered to be inedible. Note also that some coral fungi that look quite similar to Ramaria stricta are known to be poisonous.
