Taken in afternoon, spiny, prickly, grows in clusters, measuring around 1-2 ft tall, belongs to genius Pincushion cactus, lacks large stems leaves, grows with other plants, arid, prickly and rounded, small red flowers

Description

Could this also be burr clover in this other location? The tiny bloom buds suggest that the blooms are going to be yellow. I can’t say that the leaves are as large aa those wood sorrel produces. They were much smaller.

Very dry and plant. It only had one single purple flower. The plant was isolated from
Its own species and it did not have any leaves. The plant does not seem to be desert adapted since it did not have leaves.
