Birds of Forest Lakes

Nestled away in Perth's southern suburbs is Thornlie, part of which is the Forest Lakes estate.
This housing development was developed in the late 1970's and 1980's and luckily the planners had the foresight to include several lakes in it's layout, hence the name. A pity they forgot about the Forest bit.
These lakes play host to a myriad of bird life until they start to dry up towards the end of summer.
Most of the photos in this guide were taken around these lakes in the early part of 2023. less ↑
