I'm having the second round attempt to follow these eggs through to hatching/beyond. I assume they are lepidopteran. I've tried once before, but they were all parasitised. These were laid on Poa grass. Last time I found them on blackwood (assuming they are the same) www.flickr.com/photos/zosterops/50963933776/in/album-7215...
8/9/22 3 caterpillars. I thought the eggs were Anthelid but now I'm not so sure. It's also hard to work out what/if the caterpillars are eating.

Red pimple galls on gumleaf midrib
Identified as Cecidomyiidae on Bowerbird by Liz O'Donnell: "Various books describe red pimple-like galls on the mid-rib of eucalyptus leaves as being caused by Harmomyia omalanthi, also known as Cecidomyia (Hormomyia) omalanthi and Okriomyia omalanthi. Photos have been hard to find, however, so an ID confirm would be appreciated."
