Seen with Sceloporus occidentalis prey. Was seen savoring it inside its mouth for maybe less than five minutes, then carried it behind a wall, then did a little tail dance with it towards the bushes. Perhaps saving/showing off for an unseen mate?

Maybe not enough in the photo but shows the concolorous back and primary color. Note also the bird had a uniform brown wash on chest and was more dainty than nearby HERG with a smaller bill and more rounded head.
