Open conifer/chaparral scrub. Lip curl + linear leaves is what I’m going on, but could be P. unalascensis based on lip/spur ratio and typical range? No scent from what I could tell.

Description
Growing on right side of trail in grassy meadow 1000ft from intersection of Eucalyptus Rd/Parker Flats Rd.
Michael's Rein Orchid (Platanthera michaelii) Native orchid, endemic in California. Flowers/perianth is green to yellow-green. Lowest petal lip is broad/deltate-ovate. The 2 lower sepals spread outward (and are not reflexed like P. elongata). The 3 upper sepals/petals are concave and point upward. Spur is long at 8-12 mm (but not as long as P. elongata whose spur is 6.5-18 mm). Peak bloom time: June-July.
Piperia is a former genus within the orchid family Orchidaceae that has since been subsumed under Platanthera. Jepson eFlora and all the references below still call it Piperia michaelii, Michael's Rein Orchid

I forgot about this plant until organizing Abronia records; I meant to go back to document flowering and collect this later in the season, but moved to Michigan and never got around to it. Without flowers, this plant is a spitting image of A. maritima, but who knows what it actually is. @alysonvn ???

Description
This is a Pink-margined Monkeyflower, a species that looks like hasn't yet made it into the iNaturalist database. Found yesterday by a field trip participant while we were leading a butterfly trip to the Horse Mountain area. This species was just discovered in 2013 and did not make it into the recentmost revision of the Jepson Manual. It is only known from a few locations in Humboldt, Trinity and Siskiyou Counties.
