I have a 100 gallon tub of water near my house so wildlife can drink. Just as it was getting dark a short while ago something caught my eye and this small White-tailed buck came to drink. Somehow this fella got a plastic jug caught up in his velvet antlers...I hope he can get it off. I had to chuckle at this sight, however, something I had certainly never seen before. Anyway, he drank some water then trotted away. Hope he will be OK!

Snake was skirting the waters edge, didn't appear to submerge itself but never strayed more than a foot from it. Moved in-and-out of a small bunchgrass/reed stand on the shore of the lake repeatedly.

There are three sets of tracks in the picture. A lone gray wolf, and two other smaller canids. The tracks left the road together but the smaller tracks do not appear to be big enough even for a pup wolf. It's possible that coyotes were trailing the wolf. So, though the tracks are close they probably weren't walking together.
Saw two male birds in mixed flock with white wing bars. See far right bird perched on wire fence.
Large fisher, seen just south of Crater Lake National Park.

Some deer grazing in a horse pasture, with one member of the herd on the wrong side of the fence.
Well, that's a weird-lookin' dog.
