At just over 6" in length, it's easily apparent why the Latin name of this large species is Limax "maximus". Vicinity of Perth Amboy, New Jersey.
Adult specimen, in situ. Exact length and sex undetermined, as snake was left undisturbed. NJ State Threatened Species.
Approximately 6 - 7' in length. Observed in roadside ditch near Stumpy Point, North Carolina.
