Best guess but could be wrong, cap was mottled light brown with dark brown splotches and a slightly darker ring of color around the margin. Found growing from a piece of wood, presumably hardwood in a densely mossy area of mixed forest. Spore print was dark purple.

Flushed them as I was walking near our blackberry bushes a few days ago but too fast for a photo. Today I walked out just a few feet from the house and there was one just 40 to 50 feet away. Ran back in for the camera. Took photos, then two more flushed between me and the house in high Jewelweed, then another one, and another. Brought camera inside, came out sat down, and another one flushed. I think all the native plants we have put in the yard including lots of fruit.

The otter ate a crayfish, then a few perch, tossing each into the air before eating.
The last and largest perch escaped; the otter failing attempts to retrieve the prey.
The final meal of the late morning was another crayfish.
