Colonial, stalked choanoflagellate on a strand of Eunotia diatoms (in apical view). The feeding cone/collar and central flagellum can be seen on many of the cells in the still photographs and videos.

Vernal pool. Not certain about the ID but I've found similar images online that seem to be of Chara, but I did not notice this species while searching the pool for alga. Found while examining a specimen of Nitella under the microscope, at 200x-400x magnification.
@roman_romanov Can you explain what the clear squiggles are?

@roman_romanov while watching the cytoplasmic streaming, I noticed a variety of round shapes circulating. Most were circular and empty-looking, but some looked quite spiky, as in the last photos of this observation. Do you know if it's another endophyte, or just a normal part of the Nitella?

Very thin filamentous cyanobacteria embedded in the gelatinous community growing on a sock. The sock was embedded in the mud on the floor of a flooded, abandoned limestone quarry. The cells are much longer than wide, about 3-5 x 0.6-1 µm. They disappear in stacked images - I've included a couple of single shots where you can pick out some cells, with difficulty.
