According to the following reference, this species has been found in S. Texas specifically at Brownsville, which is near Monterrey, Mexico where this observation was made. Some of the physical features from the species, in particular from its face, can be noticed in the images shown here.

This other reference mentions another species found in Nuevo León, i.e. Bruchomorpha dorsolineata. No images from this species have been recorded nor has it been mentioned in any of the research found. However, due to the physical characteristics resembling a line on its dorsal part of the body, it seems possible that the Plant Hopper shown here could be from that species.
