I found these Caterpillars eating our basil plant and put them in a jar with some leaves. I took these pictures a few weeks later. This one was on a basil leaf.

We believe the moth eggs were laid in our yard, not at the store, because when we bought more basil and kept it indoors, we never found the caterpillars on the plants.

I found these Caterpillars eating our basil plant and put them in a jar with some leaves. I took these pictures a few weeks later. Photo 12 shows the spiracles.

When I opened the loose jar lid, I found this one on a branch. Most of the leaves had decayed, so there were some dead ones.

These caterpillars later turned into moths, which I'll post soon.
