Never thought I'd see THIS cutie at my bird feeder but here he is!
Very interesting plant outside our hotel!
I've been hearing gray catbirds for some time and finally saw one in my backyard! (Sorry for the bad quality)
Little buddy was on my window after it rained. From April 28th.
Bad quality but an observation's an observation! I've seen and heard plenty of grackles recently.
There were two or three dead baby birds on the sidewalk (likely killed by an animal), but I can't figure out the species. In thinking it may be a Baltimore Oriole, but I haven't seen any around at all this year.
I noticed:
• There is what I think is a piece of eggshell on its bottom which is white, not blue.
• The beak is gray and pointed, so it isn't a blackbird.
• It's slightly yellow on its belly, but this may be from the sun or sidewalk.
• I didn't measure, but it seems to be about 2 to 4 inches long.
Thoughts please?
